One technology is not better than another; you can find a good spring mattress that suits you, but you can also find a good 100% latex mattress. The important thing is to find a bed that is perfectly suited to your body type in terms of comfort and support.
Generally, we advise against buying just a new mattress. You will not get the full benefit of your new mattress if it’s placed on a used bed base. Your bed base, even if it’s still in good condition, deteriorates as quickly as the mattress (e.g. the slats will not be as flexible as they once were). However, if your bed base is relatively new, you can use it under a new mattress. But be careful: the bed base technology must be compatible with the mattress technology. You must therefore know what technology your bed base encompasses (slats, box spring, etc., and ask our distributor).
A good bed should be firm enough to support your body, but it should not be hard or that will cause pressure points that will inhibit blood circulation.
If you like plush comfort, you can still choose a firm mattress, but with ultra-plush comfort fabric, which will provide cradling comfort.
There are mattresses specially designed to deal with allergies: anti-mite treatments, removable, washable mattress covers, etc. You’ll need to follow some specific hygiene guidelines as well (aerating the bed and the bedroom, optimal room temperature, etc.).
Your body temperature will fluctuate a bit during the night. This can be more pronounced with certain individuals, and will cause them to have these feelings of too hot and too cold.

There are mattresses that offer firm and progressive support. This means that at first, the mattress will easily yield under weight and will provide ultra-plush comfort to those with a light body weight. In addition, there is a specific, durable material, dubbed insulating, that is positioned just over the coil suspension system so that you can’t feel the coils.
Sealy mattresses use latex with open cells, meaning that air can circulate through the mattress. Aeration thus occurs naturally inside the mattress so as to wick away moisture. Some mattresses also use comfort fabrics and tickings that encourage moisture transfer and elimination.
